Dr. Mark Lin

Psychiatrist, FRANZCP, MBBS(USyd), BPharm(Hons)

Dr. Mark Lin is a highly dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist who is passionate about helping patients overcome mental health challenges and live happier, more fulfilling lives. With a strong background in both pharmacy and medicine, Dr. Lin brings a unique perspective to his practice, combining his expertise in medication management with a deep understanding of the human mind. Dr. Lin’s journey in the field of mental health began with an honors degree in pharmacy, where he developed a keen interest in the effects of medications on the brain and behavior. This led him to pursue a medical degree from the prestigious University of Sydney, where he further honed his skills and knowledge in psychiatry. Having grown up in Singapore and later migrating to Australia in his early 20s, Dr. Lin has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by both local residents and migrants. He is well-versed in the cultural nuances and unique experiences that can impact mental health, allowing him to provide culturally sensitive and tailored care to his diverse range of patients.

 

APPROACH

Dr. Lin’s approach to psychiatry is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. He believes in building a strong therapeutic alliance with his patients, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their concerns and struggles. By actively listening and understanding each individual’s unique circumstances, Dr. Lin is able to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals. Outside of his work, Dr. Lin enjoys a variety of hobbies that nourish his own mental well-being. He is an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in the written word. Dr. Lin is also a talented musician and composer, using music as a creative outlet and a means of self-expression. He finds joy in cycling and spending quality time with his young family, recognizing the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Dr. Mark Lin’s commitment to his patients and his passion for mental health care make him a trusted and respected psychiatrist. With his extensive knowledge, empathetic approach, and understanding of diverse backgrounds, he strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those he serves.

Dr. Felicia Ng

Psychiatrist, FRANZCP, MBBS (UMelb)

Dr Felicia Ng is an experienced psychiatrist, who graduated from the University of Melbourne, and has great expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, trauma related disorders and personality disorders. She approaches things through a trauma and psychoanalytically informed lens, as she believes that each person brings their own experiences and relational qualities into the consultation, which contributes greatly to a collaborative and holistic approach to mental health.

Dr Ng has recently completed additional training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist and is interested in working with suitable individuals through Psychoanalytically informed Long Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in addition to biological treatments. She has good experience working with people suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, anxiety disorders, complex grief, adjustment disorders and PTSD, particularly in women (non perinatal), LGBTQIA+ populations, youth (aged 20 to 30), multicultural communities and anyone having difficulty navigating life transitions, career change and relationship challenges.

Dr Ng also provides Medicare 291 and 293 assessments making mental health support more accessible for people living in regional and rural areas.

In addition to English, Dr Ng speaks Teochew, Malay, Conversational Cantonese and Basic Hokkien.

 

Dr. Nahid Siddiqui

Psychiatrist

Dr. Nahid Siddiqui, a distinguished psychiatrist, embarked on her journey in medicine, earning her MBBS from Chittagong University, Bangladesh, in 1991. Her unwavering dedication to psychiatry led her to achieve fellowship status at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2017. Dr. Siddiqui currently serves as a highly esteemed staff specialist, contributing her expertise to the Bowral Community Mental Health Service and the Campbelltown Community Health Service.

With a wealth of experience in both the public and private psychiatry sectors, Dr. Siddiqui stands out as a caring and empathetic practitioner. Her areas of specialization encompass mood disorders and anxiety disorders, where she particularly excels in working with patients who have personality disorders or trauma histories.

APPROACH

Dr. Siddiqui’s approach to patient care is comprehensive, employing various treatment modalities such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Seeking Safety.

As a seasoned professional, Dr. Siddiqui places a strong emphasis on individualized care, recognizing that no two patients are the same.
